Blood Relation
We are family they say - As if we share a bond by default - ‘Family’ means we have roles to play - It’s not a guarantee of a place in thought
Is our blood our relation? Or simply a coincidence? A reason to accept each other with patience, Or a result of our vicinity-connection?
Blood is thicker than water. But water is its ingredient. Its importance is confirmed on paper. And its mythical value, given sentience
But life is not what it is - Rather that seen, which is done, As love all action that please – Thus paper a weak claim of some
Present publicly your benevolence - Commit privately your maleficence - Your life a sweat shop of relative labourers, Whose brand has garnered a cult of followers
Religion
Reality a consensus among men - Since Christ is male - His church the unity of women, As wives to glorify his tale
God is a collection of Christs, That are men who make his form - And women his spirit their prize, Perpetuate the form as a norm
For the prime which seeks to evolve, Presents men its future as choice - That he progress or devolve, Their hearts the sound of God’s voice
Heaven the potential of Earth, When the spirit inhabits the form, To birth God as humanity’s worth, And materialise overcoming the storm
The choice between heaven and hell, Made by men as angels or demons - The wrong of which is extinction’s tell, And both connect prime to God in shared destiny’s sermon
